Maple Glastonbury Chairs

The above photo shows the frame work while the lower photo shows the final product. To keep weight down the seat were made with 1/4 inch stock and the frames, handles were made with 1 inch stock maple. These chairs are pinned together in setup with wedges, and are made wide enough so that I can sit in them comfortably. These chairs were based off the chair that M'Lady Christiana fell in love with the design back in November of 2007 when visiting in Maple Ridge and again in Kamloops Oct. 2009 as the Storm thrones. I  Christiana will sometime get around to do the carvings on the legs, side and seat rails and arms with carvings. They will not be the same carvings as those of the orginials.
